Our Mission  is to advocate for responsible and sustainable growth in northern New Castle County that strikes the appropriate balance between economic development and the preservation of both the unique scenic character of the Brandywine Valley and natural and historic resources surrounding our communities.

Citizens for Responsible Growth works collaboratively with developers and advocates for smart, responsible growth that is in the best interests of the community. We represent and mobilize a broad base of community members - including neighbors, small business owners, attorneys, and corporate executives - through our Steering Committee, which is made up of community leaders across northern New Castle County. In order to provide educated and constructive input into development proposals, we obtain advice and counsel from nationally-renowned technical expects in the fields of land use planning, transportation and resource protection.

Our organization supports economic development and job creation, and we recognize the need for developers to make a profit. However, we also believe strongly that these goals are best accomplished through projects that are thoughtfully, and deliberately, designed so as to complement and enhance community character and not overwhelm it.

If you have already made a contribution to Citizens for Responsible Growth, THANK YOU for your support.

DID YOU KNOW your contributions have helped us engage nationally renowned technical experts in land use and traffic engineering? If you would like to make a contribution, please see our Donate page.
